Three Springs hosts 10th birthday blowout

What: Three Springs and Mercy Regional Medical Center’s 10th Anniversary celebration
When: 1 – 7 p.m., Sat., June 25
Where: Three Springs Plaza
Tickets: $10 general admission, kids 10 & under free

Three Springs & Mercy Regional Medical Center turn 10 this weekend, & they’re throwing a party. Festivities get started this Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Three Springs Plaza with music, food and kids activities.

“Ten years ago, the perfect opportunity presented itself to create a whole new kind of neighborhood for the Durango area,” Tim Zink, real estate portfolio manager at Three Springs, said. “The Southern Ute Indian Tribe’s generous donation of 60 acres to showcase the Mercy Regional Medical Center campus anchored what has become a vibrant Durango community, rich with a diversity of people and workers that is unique to our area.”

The musical line-up features local bands Carute Roma (1:30-2:30 p.m.) and The Afrobeatniks (3-4:30 p.m.) as well as headliner, Nashville singer/songwriter Matt Hires, 5 - 6:30 p.m.

Also as part of the 10-year celebration, Mercy is inviting all children born in the new hospital between 2006-16 to take the stage with Carute Roma at 2:30 p.m. to do the hokey pokey & receive a special gift. According to Mercy, nearly 1,000 babies are born each year at the hospital.

In addition, there will be kids activities, food from Fired Up Pizzeria and drinks from the Lemonade Man, BREW, Guy Drew vineyards and Durango Craft Spirits.

Tickets are available at Southwest Sound, Three Springs, or online at threespringsdurango.com
