The weekend will feature two action-packed days of clinics, gear demos and helpful hints for everyone from weekend X-Rock dabblers to veterans of the porta-ledge.

All events will take place at The Rock Lounge, kicking off with “Yoga for Climbers” and “Climbing With Kids” at 9 a.m. Saturday morning. Other Saturday clinics include: “Tips & Tricks for Beginning Climbers;” “Better Bouldering;” and “Red Pointing.” The day will conclude with a slideshow from Rock Lounge owner and world-renowned climber Marcus Garcia on his travels and adventures.

Sundays activities again kick off with a “Core Fitness for Climbing” class at 9 a.m., followed by sessions on “Anchor Building;” “Intro to Climbing;” and “Multipitch Rescue Techniques.” Climbers will have a chance for some one-on-one with Garcia from 3 – 5 p.m. for individual analysis aimed at helping them climb more efficiently.

Prices are $15/one clinic; $25/two clinics; or $45 for five.

Both days, Backcountry will have demo gear and shoes at The Rock Lounge from Black Diamond, CAMP, La Sportiva, Scarpa, Butora and more.
