Playing Cards Against Humanity for DIFF

What: “Show Me the Funny,” featuring Cards Against Humanity to benefit Durango Independent Film
When: 6:30 p.m., Sat., Nov. 8
Where: Animas City Theatre
Tickets: $40, available at www.durangofilm.org

Resurrect your Halloween costume, grab some friends and check your filter at the door as DIFF presents “Show Me the Funny,” a night of comedy to tickle the funny bone and raise funds for the film fesitval. The evening’s fesitvities will include the game everyone is talking – and laughing – about: Cards Against Humanity. But this time, the “party game for horrible people,” is being played on the big screen, ensuring “game night” will never be quite the same. Promising to be Durango’s “most wildly inappropriate and hysterical event ever,” Show Me the Funny will also feature Snowdown Follies acts as well as “Friends in Therapy” short films.

“There are a lot of fundraisers in Durango,” Festival Executive Director Joanie Fraughton said. “We thought having something really unique and creative would keep it interesting for the community. Cards Against Humanity has gained a cult-like following across the nation – from college dorm rooms to kitchen tables of baby boomers. It’s a lot of fun if you can put your good behavior on the back burner!”

There will be a cash bar, and appetizers will be served. Inappropriate and politically incorrect dress is encouraged

Proceeds benefit Durango Film, which is committed to developing film literacy and bringing independent, global and diverse films to the community. The 10th annual festival is slated for  March 4-8, 2015.
