Spring brings the annual Devo Bike Swap
What: Durango Devo Bike Swap
Where: La Plata County Fairgrounds
When: Sat., March 30 from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Spring signals the return of the annual Durango Devo Bike Swap from 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. on Sat., March 30 at the La Plata County Fairgrounds.

Clean out the garage or fill it up with kid’s bikes, adult bikes, gear, equipment, clothing and much, much more. The bike drop off is from 3-8 p.m. on Fri., March 29; the swap is held all day Saturday; and, the pick up is from 9 a.m. - noon on Sun., March 31.

Equipment and clothing from shops around Durango will be on hand, as well as offerings from local pros, including the likes of Ned Overend, Greg Herbold, Todd Wells and others.

Donations are welcome at the event, and 20 percent of all sales goes to Durango Devo. For additional information visit

Moody brings award-winning sound to town

Canadian singer-songwriter Ruth Moody brings her award-winning sound to the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College at 7:30 p.m. on Thurs., March 28.

The two-time Juno Award winner and founding member of the renowned folk trio The Wailin’ Jennys has been lauded as an artist with exceptional depth and grace, performing with an intimacy and honesty uniquely her own. Critics have called her vocals ethereal, her songwriting masterful and her ability to play a variety of instruments impressive.

After the successful release of her solo album, “The Garden,” the classically trained vocalist and pianist is currently recording her follow-up, scheduled for release later this year.

Moody tours with The Ruth Moody Band, featuring Adam Dobres on electric guitar, Adrian Dolan on strings and accordion, and Sam Howard on bass and vocals.
