Bottoms Up

Ever wonder where that old cliché originated? Turns out, beneath that cute and fuzzy exterior, chickens harbor an innate sense of, shall we say, opportunism. Despite this, several back yard farmers are enamored with the fidgety fowl. And with Easter rolling around the corner and spring on the fringe, many are hoping to replenish their broods. Fortunately, Ashley Hall (far right), of Ranch Way Feeds, services all your backyard chicken needs. A fresh order of chicks arrives every Wednesday and Friday morning. The little guys (and gals) arrive a bit stunned after being shipped less than 24 hours old but soon adjust to thier new life under the welcoming glow of the heat lamps.
