Ska hosts ‘Wonderland’ lingerie show, boutique
What: Pre-Valentine’s Day lingerie fashion show and gift boutique
Where: Ska Brewing, 225 Girard St., Bodo Park
When: Fri., Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
Hearts alive, it’s almost Valentine’s Day and time for the 3rd annual Pre-Valentine’s Day Lingerie Fashion Show and Gift Boutique. The fun gets under way at 7 p.m., Fri., Feb. 8, at Ska Brewing World Headquarters, 225 Girard St.

Ska is partnering with several local businesses, including Blu Boutique, April’s Garden, Signature Salon and Animas Chocolate Company, to host the event. Attendees can sample handcrafted chocolates and shop at the booths while sipping some local brews. It’s the one-stop-shop for all of the Valentine’s Day needs. Of course, the big draw is the lingerie fashion show featuring local models discovered during an extensive “Durango Model Search.

Durango’s original snowshoe race returns with The Winter Warrior 5 & 10K at 10 a.m., Sat., Feb. 9, at the Durango Nordic Center.
 
The annual event encourages the community to embrace all winter sports, particularly the accessible sport of snowshoeing, with training for novices as well as racing for more seasoned athletes. Racers will climb more than 500 feet per lap, and get to choose from several divisions and events, including a 5K, 10K and a kids’ race. 
 
Attendees are eligible for prize giveaways, and registration begins at 9 a.m. The race starts at 10 a.m. Proceeds from the event benefit the Durango Youth Nordic Team.
