Enter the world of the Shaolin warriors
What: Shaolin Warriors: Voices of the Masters
Where: Community Concert Hall
When: Tues., Oct. 23, at 7:30 p.m.

The legendary masters of Shaolin Kung Fu showcase their unique skills and masterful discipline with “Shaolin Warriors: Voices of the Masters” at 7:30 p.m. Tue., Oct. 23, at the Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College.

For more than 1,000 years, the ancient Shaolin warriors have been perfecting the art of hand-to-hand and weapons combat, and are known around the world for their spiritualism and martial arts prowess. These warriors bring that perfection and prowess to the stage for this choreographed theatrical production.

In “Voices of the Masters,” the troupe combines the agility and grace of gymnasts with the showmanship of Cirque du Soleil performers in a display of skills, graceful movement and stunning imagery.

The performers, all students of the Shaolin schools, begin their study at an early age in both mental and physical disciplines. They train daily in order to perform the stunning moves that leave audiences awestruck.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. For more info, visit www.durangoconcerts.com or call 247-7657.
