‘The Bee’s' all the buzz at DAC
What: “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”
Where: Durango Arts Center
When: Tues., July 31 at 7:30 p.m.
Learn how to spell fun and quirky with the cast of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Durango Arts Center, 802 E. 2nd Ave.
 
The Tony award-winning musical features a cast of Colorado actors playing six young, charming outsiders trying to make their mark in the world. These overachievers and angst-ridden youngsters come to the Putman Spelling Bee battling puberty, each other and grown-ups who are still trying to escape childhood. They each learn that winning isn’t everything and losing won’t make them losers.
These charming characters, along with some audience members chosen to participate in the bee and the show, bring this silly and endearing show to life.
