‘Rockin’ out at the American Legion
What: Metal show with Dysdania, Elete and Fist Fight
Where: American Legion
When: Sat., July 21 at 8 p.m.

Dysdania, Elete and Fist Fight bring the metal to Durango for the Midwest Metal Fest at 8 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion, 878 E. 2nd Ave.

Dysdania’s unique sound brings everything to the table from melodies of classical influences to the heavy riffs inspired from Dimebag Darrell and Kirk Hammett.

This hard rock metal band hailing from the exotic reaches of Aurora is composed of five diverse musicians that “creates a sound all their own.” Dysdania includes Ian Simmons on lead vocals, who “sends his messages through powerful screams to melodic cleans”; guitarist Nick Bosso, “playing with electrifying riffs and sweeping leads”; Martin Schroeder, who “drives the groove and provides thunderous lows”; Phil Banks, who “brings the background alive and the dark keys of pain”; and last but not least, from “steady tempo to brutal double bass, is the precise cacophony” crafted by John Cobb.

After five years of providing mosh pit melodies and writing countless songs, Dysdania is sure to remain in the eyes – and ears – of local metal fans for years to come.
