Last one in is a rotten egg
To finish the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic you gotta be fast. Really fast.

The 2013 itineration of the annual test of man vs. machine sold out this year in record time – a mere 36 hours. By contract, last year’s race took a full six days to fill.

“Yes, it’s crazy, astonishing, shocking ... Road Race and Tour sold out in 36 hours,” said Iron Horse spokeswoman Annie Cheeney when asked to confirm if the rumors were true. “It’s been wild but fun!”

Cheeney said last week’s local pre-registration party, on Nov. 29, helped get things rolling, with 200 spots sold that night. The remaining 2,300 coveted spots to Silverton were snatched up starting Dec. 1 at midnight, when registration opened to the masses.
As of press time, there were still spots left in the Women’s Road Race, the Quarter Horse 25-mile tour to Purgatory, criterium, time trial and mountain bike events.
