Get down and dirty at the Muck & Mire
What: Muck & Mire on the Mountain
Where: Durango Mountain Resort
When: Sat., Aug. 11, 9 a.m.
It’s time to get down and dirty at 9 a.m. Saturday at Durango Mountain Resort with the Muck & Mire on the Mountain adventure race.

The adventure begins with the 5k, where participants will negotiate a challenging course across log jams, rock gardens, a mud pit, pond and more.
The 10k competitive race is designed for more serious racers. They’ll try to conquer slack lines, a slip-n-slide, pond swim, culvert crawl, cargo nets and climbing walls en route to the finish line.

Anyone interested in getting dirty without the adrenaline kick can join the Mini Muck & Mire Mile, which includes the mud pit, slip and slide, hay bales and more. The Mini Mile starts at 10 a.m. and kids 10 and under can join for free.

The post-event celebration serves up beer, soda, food and soft serve ice cream, along with awards and prizes. Also, a portion of the proceeds go to Manna Soup Kitchen. For additional information about the event, visit www.skipurg.com/M3.
