The music of Scotland comes back to Durango by popular demand this Sunday. Master Scottish fiddler Alasdair Fraser and vibrant cellist Natalie Haas return to the Community Concert Hall at 7 p.m. on Nov. 14.

Regarded as one of Scotland’s premier musical ambassadors, Fraser presents the music of his homeland with passion and energy. Together, Fraser and Haas offer a weave of rocking, reeling rhythms, poignant melodies and exquisite musicianship.

Acclaimed by the San Francisco Examiner as “the Michael Jordan of Scottish fiddling,” Fraser enjoys a concert and recording career that spans 30 years, with an extensive list of awards, accolades, credits and feature performances. Natalie Haas, a graduate of the Julliard School of Music, unleashes textures and deep, powerful rhythms that complement Fraser and drive the music.
