The cycling masses gathered at Phils World last weekend for the fourth annual 12 Hours of Mesa Verde endurance race. Riders cranked out loop after loop on the 16-mile course, racing to complete the most laps in the allotted time. The action was hot from start to finish as the Local Legends (Dave Wiens, Daryl Price, John Tomac, Travis Brown) and Directory Plus/Zia/Trek (Cale Redpath, Nick Gould, Miles Venzara, Andrew Ferguson) rode neck and neck in a battle royale for first place. It wasnt until the bitter end that Redpath scored a two-minute last lap lead on Weins to win the race at 10 laps in 12:28:11.

A rider cruises through the super classic woop-dee-doos on the
Ribcage section. Amy Hale, of Leadville, gets a post-lap rubdown from Kathy
Albers. The suffering begins. Katie Bates cant help but enjoy the views from Phils World.
