A guy in a Tigger suit blows past as the bearded lady takes another drag off her stogie. Welcome to the third annual Sasquatch Uphill/Downhill Race at Hesperus Ski Area. An event hosted by the fine folks of the volunteer-powered Hesperus Ski Patrol, costumed participants embraced winter storm conditions and rallied their way to the top of the hill last Sunday, only to charge back to the base area for libations, food and prizes. Way cool.

Ben Stratton, right, and Carol Morbe, left, get the party
started. Racer, Griffin Nyers works on his (or her?) cardio conditioning
before the race. Skis at the starting line waiting for take off. Its never too cold for a frilly short skirt.
