The final harvests |
Durango has two more opportunities to support local growers. Holiday markets are set for Nov. 21 and Dec. 12, and these season finales offer final opportunities to put some local bounty on the Thanksgiving and Christmas tables. • The Pre-Thanksgiving Market meets from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 21, in the First National Bank parking lot. Dozens of vendors are expected at the market and they will offer up the last of the season’s fresh produce as well as meats, cheeses, eggs and prepared foods. • The Holiday Market is chance for Durangoans to put a little “local” under the tree and on the table and lands at the La Plata County Fairgrounds at 10 a.m. on Sat., Dec. 12. For more information on either market, visit www.durangofarmersmarket.org. |
