The Youth Extravaganza |
The Durango Youth Coalition will be holding a spaghetti dinner fund-raiser from 5:30-8 p.m. at Fri., Feb. 27, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 910 E. Third Ave. Food will be provided by Carvers, the Ore House and Randy’s. Dinner will be followed by a screening of “True Fans,” the story of a cross country pilgrimage on bikes to the Basketball Hall of Fame. Proceeds from the evening will support coalition member Lucy Richards’ participation in Trek to Reenergize America, a cross country bike ride to raise awareness of climate change. In the spirit of the theme, participants are asked to ride their bikes, and costumes are encouraged, with a prize for best bike/owner costume. Tickets are available for $5 Durango Coffee Co., Maria’s Bookshop or the May Palace, or for $7 at the door. For more on the Trek to Reenergize America, visit www.trektoreenergize.org. |
