The Second Annual Silverton Jamboree took place over the weekend, bringing over a dozen performers to the bunny slopes of Kendall Mountain for three days of high-altitude music and mojo. The lively and intimate venue saw acts ranging from traditional mountain bluegrass and high-octane rockabilly, to the Motor-city blues of Robert Bradley and the neo-carnivalesque performance by the Flying Desert Brigade. Only in its second year, the Jamboree is proving to be a mainstay of the early summer music festivals taking place high in the mountains of Southwest Colorado.

JJ Grey watches as Adam Scone lays it down on the keys during
the Mofro set on Sunday afternoon. June Yamagashi, guitarist for Papa Grows Funk, bends a string on
his Les Paul during their high-energy set on Sunday. Detroit bluesman Robert Bradley exits the stage after his
performance on Saturday evening. Stephanie Milner tosses a can into recycling while working a
hula-hoop in between shows on Saturday. Art Edmaiston, left, and Dennis Marion, with JJ Grey and Mofro,
brought the only horn section to the event. The high temperatures took many people out of the venue and into
Mineral Creek for a cool off.
