The kingdom of Mancos was the noble host of the 4th Annual Renaissance Faire last weekend, summoning every lord, lady, squire and minstrel within catapult range for a plague-free weekend of song, swords and celebration. It was enough to have made even Shakespeare exclaim, Thou reeky milk-livered strumpet!

Sir Qara Gan, left, and Master Duncan MacRae browse the local
blacksmith stand for a good Bowie knife. Dave Imming prepares to bathe himself in the Mancos River after
performing in the Mud Theatre. The Asa Fire Tribe performs to the beat of the Mancos Drum Posse
late into the evening Saturday. Patrons belly up to the local meadery for a drink. Members of Durango DOT Comedy perform in the Mud Theatre on
Saturday afternoon.
