The problem with liberals Dear Eds, One of the problems I have with liberals is that they have a lack of historical context. If you grew up in the late ’40s and early ’50s, you would know that MERRY CHRISTMAS was the correct greeting. Happy holidays was the interloper. Your comment that “the foolish crusade to replace ‘Happy Holidays’ with ‘Merry Christmas’” indicates that you lack historical perspective when it comes to greetings. I also need to point out your hypocrisy on the “efforts to sneak drilling in the Artic National Wildlife Refuge through as rider on must-pass legislation.” McCain’s anti-torture bill only exists because it was tacked on to “must-pass” legislation. Finally, ’fess up; you’d of run with the story if Renee Parsons had called you and complained about being called a “communist.” So, you missed three for three this week! – Dennis Pierce, Durango
