An Durango’s second annual Bike to Work Day took
place Wednesday morning as crowds of environmentally conscious
cycling enthusiasts gathered on Main Avenue to promote
pedal-powered transportation. Cyclists mingled over complimentary
coffee and baked goods before shoving off to work. The
sidewalk filled with wide-eyed hopefuls as winners were
announced in the morning raffle. Jay Hardesty was the
day’s big winner as he walked away with an Electra
cruiser donated
by Durango Cyclery.
