Durango Mountain Resort held the San Juan Brewfest on Saturday, Sept. 7, at the base of the mountain. The annual beer-a-rama drew almost 700 beer connoisseurs and featured brews from more than 14 local and regional breweries. New this year was the Chili Cook Off, featuring several vats of the spicy red stuff provided by local restaurants, which made for a nice compliment to the beer as well as a potent ride home on the boozy bus, so we were told.
