Bottoms Up

Snakes. Love them or love to hate them, we live in snake country. And for all the fear they are prone to arousing, snakes are perhaps one of the more fascinating, cold-blooded creatures. Yes, there are various ways in which to handle an unexpected snake encounter and running and screaming, although popular, is not recommended. However,  keeping a safe distance when unsure of the species, is. With that in mind, most snakes are not aggressive. But being that we do live among a few venomous types, a little rattlesnake “what-to-do-if” education can go a long way. There is even a pre-backcountry trip vaccine available for your furry K9 companions (ask your local vet.)
