Prom night fashions come to Durango

Prom season is here, and so are the dresses.
 
B. Couture, A tenn.-based formal-wear company, will host a three-day trunk show of prom dresses from 3-8 p.m. Feb. 28-29 and March 1 at the Durango Recreation Center’s Sunlight Room.
 
The formal-wear company was on the slopes of Durango Mountain Resort last December for a photo shoot to promote the show. The photos were shot by local photographer Allison Ragsdale and featured local high school seniors Tevan Trujillo, Jade Gutierrez, Katie Dillon and Raquel Delgado modeling the wares. Hair and makeup was done by Hair Fusion and April's Garden supplied flowers for the shoot.
 
As a thank you to the local community for helping with the shoot, B.Couture plans to donate a portion of proceeds from dress sales to local After Prom programs promoting safe prom night activities, and Alpine Bank will match the donations.
