Beginning in the foothills of Utah’s Abajo Mountains, White Canyon starts its journey toward Lake Powell as most canyons do, with a series of tiny feeders and trickles that ultimately close in on a common stream course. As the soft Cedar Mesa sandtone is slowly gouged away by running water, a tremendous Utah canyon is born. Harboring numerous geological anomolies (even for Utah), certain sections of White Canyon defy human imagination. White Canyon is a natural wonder to say the least.
