
After 48 colorful years, the Hesperus Ski Patrol just might know a thing or two about throwing a ski swap. Take, for instance, the hundred-plus gear-hungry hopefuls who toughed out the sleet, snow and darkness outside the La Plata County Fairgrounds last Saturday to ensure fresh tracks on those unbeatable bargains.
