Green Expo returns The latest and greatest in “green” goes on show this weekend as the Four Corners Green Living Expo returns to the La Plata County Fairgrounds. A few highlights follow. The exhibition of green products and services dedicated to better life through smarter living. The event will host more than 100 exhibitions, informative workshops and seminars, an kid’s section, bike recycling, café and beer garden, and more. The Expo is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. April 16 and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. April 17. • The Sustainability Alliance of Southwest Colorado and Local First present Craig Lewis at 5 p.m. in the Extension Building. Lewis is the executive director of the Clean Local Energy Accessible Now (CLEAN) Coalition and will address the creation of jobs through renewable energy. The event includes posole cook-off, margaritas, music and dancing. • “Reeling for a Change,” films that “make a change,” will show at the Back Space Theatre, 1120 Main Ave., April 15. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. • Chicken Sunday, an egg and pancake breakfast, custom chicken coop auction, a day of gardening workshops and an opportunity to “celebrate your inner chick” meets from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. April 17 at the Fairgrounds.
