Nothing says Durango like a hot, sweaty mountain bike ride in Horse Gulch. Thats why hundreds of two-wheeled enthusiasts gathered in full singletrack regalia to participate in last weekends inaugural The Big Gulch trails celebration. The racecourse, designed by local cycling legend, Travis Brown, toured many of the classics throughout the Gulch, as well as a few new favorites. And with four races to choose from including everything from megastout to weekend warrior, trail running and a kids race all segments of Gulch lovers got their fix. Along with Durango Devo and Fort Lewis College Cycling, the event also raised funds for local trail advocacy and singletrack buffers,Trails 2000.

Never a dull view from the top of the Telegraph Trail. Durangoan Robin Guillame prowls his way to a Mens Singlespeed
second place finish.
