Local skiers and boarders now have the opportunity to experience snow under the stars and ge their fix day and night. Chapman Hills rope tow is now in operation from 4-8 p.m. Mon. - Fri., and noon - 8 p.m. Sat.-Sun., giving local enthusiasts as well as regular 9-to-5-ers some after-hour thrills. The community ski hill includes terrain park features such as rails and kickers for the daredevil set, as well as a groomed lower slope for those suited and booted for the first time.

Aaron Blue, lift operator, keeps the big rope tow online Monday night. Alison Millar heads to the top with a firm grasp. A handful of locals seize the perfect opportunity to get in some laps after work.
