National Eating Disorders Awareness Week

National Eating Disorders Awareness Week includes a free screening of “Disfigured,” a funny, touching and heartbreaking movie about our complicated relationship with our bodies. The screening is set for 6 p.m. on Fri., Feb. 27, in Fort Lewis College’s 130 Chemistry Hall. A discussion led by local experts on eating and exercise disorders will follow.

A forum for local therapists and health-care practitioners to discuss integrated approaches to the treatment of eating and exercise disorders is also set for noon on Feb. 26. The event takes place at the Mercy Regional Health Care Center, Conference Room B, and lunch will be provided. Call 769-2413 by Feb. 20 to RSVP.
