Snow has finally made it to Durango, and the folks at Hillcrest have wasted no time furnishing another five-star skate and xc track. So, throw on your favorite pair of lycra jimmies, throw on your favorite beanie, slap some wax on your boards and head up the Hill for some thigh-crushing, heart-burning, hot Nordic action. The track is open all day, all week, under adequate snow conditions.

Dylan Williamson gets ready for a late afternoon skate
session. Mike Cameron steps into his skis. Getting in a few laps on lunch break. A pair of skiers enjoy the classic view from Hillcrest. Cruisin the track under bluebird skies. Lars Ellefson, left, and Charlie Greenberg, right, of the
Durango Nordic Team, wax up before practice Tuesday afternoon.
