Inaugural Literary Week comes to Durango |
The Durango Public Library is hosting the inaugural Literary Festival on Sept. 16-18. Each day will include a variety of workshops presented by local authors and illustrators. Topics include: illustrating children’s books; researching historical fiction; and how to get your book published. In addition, a writers’ panel, “Achieving Publishing Success in the Four Corners,” meets at 7 p.m. Thurs., Sept.16, and will spotlight Blake Crouch, Katherine Leiner and Ken Wright. Award-winning author Craig Childs will keynote the festival at 7 p.m. on Fri., Sept. 17. His talk, “The Ends of the Earth,” promises to offer a fresh perspective on writing, adventure and the state of the world.
