April 3-9 was designated Week of the Young Child, and Durango parents and local caregivers came out in force for the health and well being of Durango's younger half. Designed to help adults acknowledge that children's opportunities are the sole responsibility of their elders is the mission of Week of the Young Child. Local children's organizations and community support groups gathered at the Durango Mall Saturday for the Kids Fair in conjunction with Week of the Young Child. Kids of all ages participated in a multitude of activities provided by local organizations, which provided a wealth of entertainment for both parents
and children alike.
