The wait is finally over and just in the nick of time. With the trails too muddy to ride and the dusting of snow not providing the necessary base for early season turns, the return of hockey and the opening of the Chapman Hill ice rink couldn't have had better timing. Open daily, Chapman Hill offers hockey programs for all ages and ability levels. Public skate is also available for those less competitive types. Admission is just 5 bucks and skate rental is only $3. For more information, call 385-2967 or get the rink schedule on-line at www.durangogov.org.
