Think locally

For the past two decades Maria's Bookshop, downtown Durango's independent bookseller, has encouraged regional awareness and fostered strong community spirit. In return, owners Peter Schertz and Andrea Avantaggio have earned the ongoing support and gratitude of local bookworms. To help thank the community for the years of support and patronage, Maria's Bookshop is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a week of sales and special events. Celebrity author Mark Spragg
will be on hand Thursday night and a celebration for readers rights will conclude the weeklong celebration on Sunday afternoon. For more details and a complete list of events visit the Telegraph’s “On the Town” section or the on-line version of Maria's Bookshop at www.mariasbook shop.com.

Maria's Bookshop will see a multitude of fans throughout the week as special events are planned every day through Sunday.
