Durango Parks and Recreation welcomed eight lacrosse teams to the green playing fields of Fort Lewis College for the 3rd annual Four Corners Lacrosse Cup last weekend. A healthy crowd of competitors, spectators and fans watched the action of one of the nation's fastest growing sports. Plenty of bumps and bruises were laid out during two full days of intense competition. Team Gold Bond and Team LAX Gear, both from Denver, found themselves at the top of their respective brackets and in Sunday's championship game. After two halves of hard fought, physical play, Team Gold Bond captured the cup with a wellearned 6 to 4 victory.
