Tee time

Fleece hats and skate skis have given way to three woods and golf carts as the Hillcrest Golf Course opened for the season last week. The last few patches of snow hiding on the north sides of sand traps and putting greens were nothing more than a memory after last weekend's bright sunshine and warm weather. The driving range was packed with early season golfers working on their swing and keeping an eye on their yardage. After an often frustrating day on the links, there is nothing like throwing back a cold one as the sun sets over Durango.
