It’s cold, damn cold, which means it’s also prime season for ice skating at Chapman Rink at 500 Florida Road. The rink opened for skating and hockey leagues Nov. 1, and young lovers and toothless brutes are happily coexisting in the hum of the Zamboni machine. This season has a special new feature: The Pavilion, which offers full concessions, a fireplace by which to thaw frozen tootsies and restrooms. Chapman Rink is open daily and info about rentals, rink admission and birthday packages is available by calling 385-2967.
