The lights of the
La Plata County Fairgrounds are once again ablaze with
Durango Pro-Rodeo action Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and
Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. The rodeo, which is owned
by the Honeycutt family, keeps the whole family enthralled
with the nail-biting action of saddle bronc riding, tie
down roping, mutton bustin’ and the hilarious antics
of those cantankerous clowns. Sanctioned by the Professional
Rodeo Cowboy’s Association, this longtime Durango
tradition continues to bring top flight rodeo competition
to La Plata County. The rodeo runs through Aug. 23.
